Product Description
VG2 Vacuum Switch
The vacuum switch for a VG2 (vacuum generator 2) is adapted to the generator by being pressed into a clamped flange at the highest port of the "L" shaped tank.
When vacuum in being created in the tank by the vacuum pump the diaphragm on the switch gets pulled in - once the tank reaches 8-10 inches the spring on the diaphragm is pulled in enough to release the snap action switch on the end of the assembly, turning your pump off. Once vacuum is released from the system by flushing your toilet, the spring is released, activating your snap action switch, turning your pump on to create the vacuum lost.
One main reason for replacing your switch is if the system is building enough vacuum but your switch is not responding to turn the pump off.
When wiring the vacuum switch you will use the B terminals.
